things are completely out of anything that resembles routine over here. Well, except that the boys have gone back to school & kinder after thoroughly enjoying the break. Hubby is still home for another week & a bit and I just can not seem to gain focus on anything!
My creative space is all hodge-podge, finishing off little projects here & there, dabbling in a bit of thrifty furniture restoration, playing with mismatched cutlery, metals & tin cutting..but not much to show for it just now..
I am hoping the rhythm of life returns quickly & that inspiration strikes very soon to knock me off my feet, for this feeling of being all out of wack is really quite unsettling.
In the meantime, it's tools down while I jump on my bike & take a leisurely ride in this glorious sunshine with my man...
Kirsty is back today with loads more creative spaces over here...
it's always hard when people are around & your routine is not happening like you want it to.
ReplyDeleteit'll come back to you soon Mel, let yourself enjoy the sunshine & have a cup of tea...I am ♥
I can't wait to see what you're up to with the cutlery and tin snips, Mel...
ReplyDeletelooking forward to seeing what you come up with, I love the chalk boards in your previous post, by the way!
ReplyDeleteOoh, cutlery craft looks very intriguing. Hopefully everything will fall back into place for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI always find the first week back to school very unsettling too - it's like I can't quite get into anything. And yes, whenever hubby's around, forget it! ;) Hope you had a nice bike ride. Kx
ReplyDeleteThings are a bit out of whack here too but I find it's just best to ride through it all :)
ReplyDeleteI am very intrigued with what you are doing.

Hi Mel..I love the image that comes to mind as you leap on your bike and take a ride with your man in the sunshine! Go for it...relax and then when you are filled up with new sights, exhilaration and inspiration you'll be raring to craft again.
ReplyDeleteJust relax and take your time and inspiration will come.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't hurt to take a break for a while, enjoy the next week with your husband and don't worry about it.
ReplyDeleteSigh! :) Enjoy time with your man. Crafty-ness will soon get on a roll again. I have missed seeing what you were up to as I haven't really been around much either in the past little while.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had the most wonderful ride!
ReplyDeleteIts a bit of a crazy week here too. Oh well, its the weekend after tomorrow, we'll try again next week.
A ride out in the sunshine with your man sounds like a great plan, I hope you had fun together. That unsettling feeling is hard to handle sometimes, I hope that your groove comes back soon. xo
ReplyDeleteBike rides with your man in the sunshine can do wonders for your creativity (just as an added benefit).
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the time with your husband! Always precious to have that when your kids are at school, and you can be a 'couple' again!

ReplyDeleteIf you're anything like me, the minute your Mr walks out the door and it's just you in the house...VOILA! Routine! (But I hope you both really enjoyed your bike ride).
