my creative space..up cycling

I found these coasters at the op shop this week & could not go past those delicious colours all  pinned together...
I'd recently chopped up an old thrifted table runner & made coasters out of it, but seeing as we never seem to use coasters around here, I've decided to crochet a chain & join them all together as a garland! 
I wish I could show you a picture of it strug up in my living room, but I can't get it all in the shot.  I am completely in LOVE with it!

  16. I can't believe those were coasters - they are so pretty (all my coasters are just boring cork thingys you put half cold mugs of coffee on??)

  24. You found them at the OP SHOP!!!? What was the person who gave them away thinking! I LOVE them.... I would have grabbed them in a flash.

    And the pieces of table runner.... you've given me an idea! I've got an old table cloth much like those pieces put together that I've never used..... hmmmmmm.
