@ my house...

I have our sweet 6yr old recovering from a nasty virus that came on very quickly Saturday afternoon.  A quiet day at home is definitely in order today, though he is devastated that he isn't going to school! Don't you just love the dedication at this age...
It's a dull day outside, so while these two are busy at play, I plan to make my way through 5 days of emails now that our system is back up & running.  Then I think we'll brighten things up a little on the inside with some shiney, sparkly Christmas cheer!  What's happening at your house? Join in here....

  2. Viruses aren't much fun are they? We have a really weird one this time around which had some worrying spots but they haven't gotten any worse overnight. Mr3 will be off kindy for a few days - bit of a pain because there is only a couple of weeks left anyway! We put up our tree yesterday - couldn't wait hehe

    Hope Mr6 feels better soon

  7. I used to hate missing school when I was younger as well (although I wasn't allowed to miss it very often anyway). Hope you all had a lovely quiet day. The decorations are looking good. I have been putting things off until December - but not long now! Lou.

  9. Being a teacher I DO love it when I hear of kids who are devastated when they can't go to school - that's fab! I hope he's feeling better now... an extra day or two at home will do wonders.

I'll be breaking the Christmas decorations out after my birthday which is early in December. It was always a tradition as I was growing up that we waited until after my birthday so 'my special day' didn't get all mixed in with Christmas!

  13. Oh no, poor little thing. I used to be the same, I hated missing school. Funny how once you start work you lose that isn't it?

    Enjoy your Christmas cheer!
