my creative space...

My cosy nana rug is coming along nicely.  I'm working on it a little bit here & there most days & loving it! Though I had no idea how much wool I would use to make a single rug.  I'm almost done on my own stash & those found at the op shops.  I can't believe these beautiful pieces & hours of work sell for next to nothing in second hand stores!  This is going to be one to pass on through the generations I can tell you!
A bit of a favourite way to spend my time on these cold wintery nights...

almost there...

and, after looking back over previous weeks, it seems it's not quite my creative space without another made over stool...

  3. I love the colours in your blanket, just gorgeous! I picked-up my crochet again last night for the first time in almost a year... had to You-Tube the basics on crochet because I'd forgotten hehe! But it all came back to me thank heavens :) I'm hoping to finish my granny-square afghan blanket, I'm about half-way there :)

  7. I totally agree! So many hours and so sad to see them there unwanted. Although some of the ones at my local oppy are horrible colours!

Your granny square is looking wonderful too. Thanks for commenting on the one I am making. Is that crepe wool you are using there?

I love the stool too. Where do you find them all? I have been looking looking looking for a stool and am still empty handed! :)

  12. Its looking gorgeous! I love the colours too. I am always tempted by the op shop ones knowing how many hours and how much wool it took to make them. It doesn't seem right for them to sit there unloved.

  13. My thoughts exactly! I have two gorgeous crocheted blankets i got at the Op shop for $5 each and I marvel at them and the hard work that went into them!! They're a real addiction for me, I always have my eyes out for more. Enjoy the process! xo m.

  14. wool hungry indeed those giant granny squares. Small sqaures take less wool, but mean lots of joing! Love the colours and the stool - where ever do you find them all?
