I've been trying to get a grip of the great masses of artwork that's churned out around here. They get taped to the bedroom walls or thrown into a basket where no one gets to see & appreciate the beautiful works of my little artists. So I decided to just pop them up on the kitchen wall for all to see...
Being a bit of a neat freak, I wasn't sure how well I'd cope with them all just stuck higgledy, pigledy on the wall but I quite like it now that they are all up & the more we add, the better it looks!
As a result, I've been able to streamline the kids bedroom walls so they are a little bit more orderly to satisfy my mad need for neatness...
Pop over to Kootoyoo to for other creative spaces...
Your wall is brilliant! What a lovely way to celebrate your little ones' art...
ReplyDeleteThat's a fabulous creative space on your kitchen wall!

The art wall looks fantastic! Your kids will remember that when they grow up and really appreciate it. We have a rotating art wall (I change the pieces every couple of months) and the best of the rest goes into an art folder for each of my kids to look back on. Thanks for your lovely comments on my Creative Space today :o)
ReplyDeleteNice work Mum - I know what you mean about the 'neat factor'! There are some cool ideas of displaying kids artwork around the blogs circuit! Sarah Jane kids artist has some free templates on her blog you can download, cut out and put a kids finger painting behind it. In shapes of animals - very cool idea!
ReplyDeleteLove your art wall! I do the same thing but in his bedroom and keep the rest of the house a little neater.
ReplyDeleteLooks fantastic. We have a wall above their drawing table with string that I peg their artwork on. Unfortunately I don't have the "neat freak" gene so their area is always insanely messy but completely creative!
ReplyDeleteWhat a very clever idea. I still have drawings my kids did when they were little and my oldest child is almost 25!! Grandparents were always happy to take the excess too. The Art folders are a good idea. Get your kids to decorate their own and keep the Art safely stored in them.
ReplyDeleteloving the art wall, and I think higgildy piggildy is definite the way to go . I'm not sure you should ever come to my house, you might die, because well I'm not neat at all!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! I think all artwork should be on display! Little artists in the making!
ReplyDeleteHappy Creative Thursday! xo
I am so jealous of your mad neat for neatness. If only I had just a teensy weensy bit of neatness...I love the look of all your kids' art work on display like that, I'm sure it does wonders for their self esteem too.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous wallpaper you have in your kitchen!! I love that the pictures go right behind the clock.x
ReplyDeleteThat looks awesome!! And bravo to you for letting go of the neatness factor...something a 15 month old is helping me to overcome too :)
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome- it's an always changing wallpaper with added sentimental value! xo m.
ReplyDeleteLooks great!!Must be making you very happy every time you look at them..
ReplyDeletei'm glad it's not affecting the orderly side of your brain because it really does look fantastic! i bet all your kids' friends are so jealous that they can't do that with their creations!
ReplyDeleteYou would pay good money for wallpaper that good! I love it.
ReplyDeleteLove your arty kitchen wallpaper - great idea! Nic
