simple things...

This week I am grateful for quiet days at home, getting things done, enjoying holidays & watching my boys play.  I never tire of listening to them at play.  Their wild imaginations transporting them to magical places, adventurous places.  I really need to record them sometimes, so that we can capture those moments & keep them forever...

for more grateful posts pop on over to maxabella's...

  1. Isn't it nice that some kids can actually be kids! They make their own fun and imerse themselves in all sorts of adventures. Isn't it nice that they are able to be themselves as they grow and develop their creative minds. These sorts of kids make great adults!

  3. I have been considering a hidden mic in their bedrooms, recording their glorious conversations forever... aside from the gross invasion of their privacy, I think it's a fantastic idea!!!

We so rarely have 'quiet' days at home. I think I'm definitely doing something wrong... x

  7. I never tire of secretly watching them play. Sometimes it brings tears to my eyes to see that sibling love in action, other times when things aren't going too smoothly the tears are for another reason!

  8. I totally agree, Mel. I let Joshie roam the house taking videos yesterday which will be a classic to look back on in the years to come.

Now are those vintage books yours? I was just thinking I could probably make some. Maybe Spotlight would have wooden blocks. What do you think? J x

  10. Yes, take some videos of them playing. I have some of my girls (and take more, often) just little 30 second ones, it is so much fun looking back at them as time goes by. Enjoy :)

  12. Yep, its the simple times and things for sure. I've been sitting outside for most of the afternoo listening to a zoo, become a vet's, a doctor's and now a hairdressers. The sky is the limit to their play and I love it.
I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.

  13. WE just spent a very long time this evening watching little video snippets of when they kids were slightly younger. They LOVE watching back over them and just can't get enough. They are nothing special, just everyday activities or conversations, but they are just priceless to all of us!
