this weeks window is our sunny back deck!
It's one of the most used areas of our home all year round, though it does get a little warm under there in the summer...the picture above was taken this morning...
here are the very same doors/window tonight when it was teaming with rain & we actually had water pouring down the doors on the inside!! Water was also coming through two rooms upstairs, flooding in the kitchen, laundry & the stair well. Time to look at that guttering I'd say...
for more window views, pop on over to the delightful Swedish House...
Oh no, hope there was not too much damage! That must have been a lot of rain.
ReplyDeleteNothing like spring rain to test the guttering! Your deck and garden do look like lovely spaces.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Mel. I can imagine many a fabulous summer evening spent there. I hope the rain didn't cause too much damage! J x
ReplyDeleteI am curious as to what the building is with the steps leading up to it?
ReplyDeleteIs that a secret lady cave for crafting?

What a lovely deck. Sorry for the big rain storm. Hope all is well. Thanks for sharing your view from your window.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely view! I hope the place has all 'dried out' by now! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful backyard you have and I always forget your in summer now!
ReplyDeleteWell, the morning view sure was lovely. Sorry to hear about the leaking and flooding. We don't get much rain on this side of the world, but when we do, there's always a mess. :/ Hope you are getting things cleaned up. Best wishes, Tammy P.S. I love, love, love your crocheted necklaces.
ReplyDeleteThat does look like a lovely space to wile away the hours, perhaps not so much in torrential rain, unless you had a very sturdy umbrella and galoshes on.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful space, I hope the rain didn't do too much damage...
ReplyDeleteHello Mel
ReplyDeleteThank you soo much for sharing your view...
I love your patio, it's such a huge area.
At opposite ends of the world...I have an autumnal view and you a summer view... ooh what I would do for some summer sunshine...and warm rain. I love your reflected patio window view with the rain running down too ;-)
I hope you managed to bail out okay...
I will post all the window views tomorrow.
Let me know if you have any preference for me to post.
Have a great day!
