...is all about school concert costumes! We have to make a cute little pig 'swinging on a star' & a pickpocket from 'Oliver'.
I'm so looking forward to it this year. Our house has been filled with sweet little voices rehearsing their songs (& each others) I even find myself wandering about with their tunes in my head and I'm loving it! It's always a long night, but the little guy is that bit older this time round so will hopefully make it through, and we have two performances to look forward to, which is very exciting! Not to mention the end of term 3, can you believe that!! This year truly is flying by way too fast.
Check out the cute wool shorts I found at the op shop for $4. They are actually ladies shorts, I'm supposed to be hacking into them with scissors to make them look ragged, but I'm really hoping I can put them on the big boy with rope around his waist to look shabby & poor, so then I can keep them for myself! As for our little piggy, he is so excited about his costume (of course!) he was told that he could be either a black or a pink pig..I adore that he chose pink!

It's all happening over at Kootoyoo, pop on over...

ReplyDeleteOoo, this sound like so much fun.
ReplyDeleteSo nice your little man chose to be a pink pig, yay!
Oh that would be so fun making costumes! My 2 are both too young yet, but I am looking forward to when they are at school. (I should remember this when I am making them last minute costumes and getting frustrated!!)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day :)
You'll have to post photos of them all dressed up ready to go.
ReplyDeleteYour space sounds like so much fun with you all singing and preparing. Hope you get to eep the shorts.
definitely have to post photos..this is going to be too darling for words I bet!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be that time of year at school! Good luck with your costumes - they sound fun to make!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness that is going to be so cute! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI've been doing the same. The "Oliver" outfit is sorted thanks to some great bargains from the oppie. The Preppie is a giraffe!!!! Adapting my niece's dog suit from last year by adding giraffe spots/shapes. Looks a little weird but the Blonde Bombshell thinks its fab. I can't wait, I LOVE the school concert.
ReplyDeletewhat a fun and exciting space at your place. I remember school plays were such a fun time when i was that age.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Kate, please post pics of them all dressed up and ready to go. xo
How exciting! Looks like they are going to be looking great - with what you have there! Is that pig ears from felt I see?! So impressed he chose pink too - shows that he is making his own decisions for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat is great that he chose pink! Look forward to seeing the photos!

ReplyDeleteYou are just the sort of mum we teacher's love - the type that creates an awesome costume for school events! Do we get to see photos of them all dressed up for the big night? Hope it all goes well :)
ReplyDeletesounds like exciting times there at your place :) I can so identify with the rehearsing and the song stuck in my head.
ReplyDeleteCute post! I love that he chose pink too. How cool is that snout?! We had our concert last night and it was FUN. And like you, our youngest was able to cope with a late night much better than last time. Hope the concert is a blast xo
ReplyDeleteSo sweet. Love the little piggy nose. I would be going for the string round the waist option with the shorts too! That's the Irish, A Famine could happen any moment in me - as my husband tells me.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the concert!
