I used to have so much fun with Knitting Nancy when I was little, so it was very exciting when Mum found her while sorting through some things...
She's a little worn, well loved...
it took a bit to remember how, but not too long before it all came flooding back to me...
I can't wait to get busy creating with her again, and she's the perfect travel companion, small enough to pop in the handbag, hours of fun ahead...
oooh that is one cool knitting nancy!!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe my eyes!! That is the very same Knitting Nancy that I had as a little one. She's tucked away in my craft cupboard waiting for Bijou to grow up a little. So, so lovely!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly the same as mine!
ReplyDeleteKnitting Nancy! Serious flashback. What a top find. Cn't wait to see what you can create with that...

ReplyDeleteOoohhh me too. I've still got mine too. My girls never showed any interest in it however. Now it lives on a shelf in my sewing room!
ReplyDeleteI want one, I have never seen her before. What a treasure to pass along!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous little knitting nancy. My 6 year old daughter is enjoying her knitting nancy a lot. We have a few scarves on her dolls, but hers, unfortunately, is tacky and plastic and will not be lasting as long as your obviously has. very special.
ReplyDeleteAdorable post!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteShe is very sweet Mel. Have never seen one like that though. I used to make them from old wooden cotton reels and tiny nails banged into the top. Love the way simple things can be the best fun! x
ReplyDeletep.s. Just having another peek at her and I swear she's standing there, with the arms crossed, as if to say Yah! Just try it!! ;-)))))))
