down time...

I'm slowly getting back to normal after my market 'hangover'.  There has been just so much going on in the last 8 weeks that I've felt a little overwhelmed & in over my head, to be honest. I was going to post some pictures here, snapshots of the last two months, but I haven't many to share, too busy to take photos it seems... 

Now the sun is shining, a warm breeze blows & I feel like it's time to take things a bit slower, focus on my guys, all four of them.  They all need me for different things at the moment and it's time to be Mum & supportive wife again...

As I type this the littlest guy comes and throws his arms around my waist with a kiss & an "I love you, Mum!"  Now I need to make his tiny, tiny Robin figurine another cape, and some teeny tiny gloves with the bat symbol & a jagged edge.  He asks me to make the funniest things, he thinks I'm very clever!  Yesterday he asked me a question that I didn't know the answer to, "yes you do," he says, "you always know!" God love him, it's nice to be the superhero in his little life...

So, after hosting tomorrows Enjo party (not sure how I agreed to that one) and finishing off a few more Loved orders, I'm going to have some down time, well at least just focus on the stay at home mum side of life & be sure to put my camera to better use to capture the moments...

Well, that's my first market done & dusted!  It was a great day, so many gorgeous stalls, you could spend a fortune on all the goodness available at Piccadilly Market...

I have to say I am pooped!  Two weeks flat out preparing for the big day has finally taken it's toll, I feel a little zombie-like today.  The stall looked nice, I met some gorgeous people & even sold a few things so it was a good day all round!  I could have sold the shrug I was wearing 10 times over!! (mental note for next winter...make shrugs!)

Now I have a few orders to get busy on & then I am sooo looking forward to sitting down with that delicious  bundle in the picture to make a few new things, maybe even a little something just for me...

for my first ever market!!  Not just any market, Piccadilly Market! I hope I'm up to standard, it's such a gorgeous event.  So I'm busily labeling, hooking, making... 

a dress rehearsal in the living room, not so sure about the layout, everything looks a bit 'dumped' at the front so a little tweaking here & there is in need. Argghh, having had less than 2 weeks to prepare, I'm going to have to make the most of what I have now... 

slowly but surely its coming together, I'm mildly terrified & super excited all at once!!

heavenly days...

A weekend away, just the hubby & I.  We kicked off with a visit to our lovely friend Nat's quaint little cafe Beatrix in Nth Melbourne. This is an absolute MUST do if you are in town, and how lucky for you if you're a local!  You won't be able to resist just about everything on offer, all made with such love..you can actually feel it, the love, really! 

Hubby and I started with one of Beatrix famous brioche donuts, this little treat only available on Saturday & TO.DIE.FOR!  The best coffee ever & then we had the Breggie roll, that was a little piece of heaven in itself.

and a growing arrangement of vintage beaters hanging above the counter.  You can bring one along to contribute if you like.. 

ooohhh my! There is so much deliciousness here & I love the fun names of  everything..

Truly I don't think my photos do this little gem justice, you'll love Beatrix, it's cute, super friendly & a little wholesome nostalgia all rolled into one, I can't wait to go back. You can check out Beatrix daily treats over here too just to be sure you don't miss out.. 

we also strolled the city streets, hubby sporting his new wristwarmers (zoolander style), and just wandered though arcades & laneways til our hearts content.  I just love Melbourne, I do miss it. Though being so far away does make having these weekend getaways together all the more special..

And now it's Monday again! Back to the hustle & bustle of life..but quite honestly, I love that too!

While the holidays have been great, with the kids back at school it's nice to get back into a bit of regular routine...
